Evening Cleanse (step 2) …

Balm/Oil Cleanser:

After removing most eye make up, then on to the face. This is where the oil/balm cleansers come in… And my favourite bit. As much as I love putting make up on – balms and oils mean I love taking it off too!

These are the absolute best balm cleansers that remove makeup. I always DOUBLE cleanse in the evening. I use a basic balm first to get rid of make up/dirt then follow with a more expensive/luxurious/my favourite one.

So basic ones first:

Clinique Take The Day Of Balm -£20 allbeauty or Boots. http://www.allbeauty.com/productPaging.php?productId=48143&ref=%7Badtype%7D&utm_source=%7Badtype%7D&utm_medium=FREE&cm_mmc=%7Badtype%7D-_-Free-_-Listing-_-48143&currency=GBP&country=48&&gclid=CL2Psd-y4MQCFYSWtAodtl4AQg.

This is amazing stuff and my 4th tub. It’s so so simple, no fragrance (perfect for sensitive skins/red/angry). It has the look/feel of lard but it is AMAZING at removing makeup. No nasties (which is unusual for Clinique). Tub lasts an age – you only need a penny size to do your whole face. Doesn’t sting eyes. I love it! I’ve had this tub since July and have just finished it today.

TBS Chamomile Cleansing Butter -£12. http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/skincare/cleansers/camomile-sumptuous-cleansing-butter.aspx  Again, lovely lovely stuff. V similar to Clinique. Actually more expensive per gram. Slight scent. Still highly recommended.

Others I rate (not pictured):

Una Brenan 15 pounds. Rose Cleansing oil. Boots – http://www.boots.com/en/Superfacialist-Rose-Miracle-Makeover-Facial-Oil-30ml_1273981/. Lovely stuff. Been through 2 bottles of this stuff. Fab at removing makeup.

So, once the makeup/grime/dirt is gone, on to the second cleanse (which should be the luxurious one)…

The Elemis Balm is pricey 40 pounds – quite heavily scented. Won’t be to everyone’s taste. But is luxurious. Perfect for really taking time to massage (I spend a good minute massaging face). Good slip. http://www.lookfantastic.com/elemis-pro-collagen-cleansing-balm-100ml/10757840.html…. but I prefer…

OSKIA perfect cleanser – £32.50. Love this. Thick balm. Smells lush. Perfect slip. Sensitive on eyes. Emulsifies when water added to rinse off. http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/oskia-perfect-cleanser.html

Emma Hardie Moringa Balm 36 pounds http://www.feelunique.com/p/Emma-Hardie-Amazing-Face-Natural-Lift-and-Sculpt-Moringa-Cleansing-Balm-100ml. Again, lovely, luxurious balm. Smells amazing.

REN Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm 19 pounds on offer in M&S right now http://www.marksandspencer.com/ren-rosa-centifolia-no-1-purity-cleansing-balm-100ml/p/p22256360?extid=ps_gglpla_UK_Gen_,Beauty+_PLABeauty+–%3E+Skincare+–%3E+Cleansers+&+Toners+–%3E+Face+Wash+&+Cleanser_M&S+Rosa+Centifolia™+No.1+Purity+Cleansing+Balm+100ml&ef_id=VBXw5QAAAObi-U3M:20150406002746:s

Always, always apply to a dry face – no matter what it says on the tub/tube. Always, always rinse with a warm flannel several times. I use a clean one every single day – one does am/pm clean, then on to the washing pile. Fresh one the next morning.

Budget balm cleanser:

Organic cold pressed Virgin coconut oil. The big jar cost £6 from amazon and I’ve had it a year. Amazing value. Amazing oil/balm.
RMS coconut oil balm -£12 cultbeauty. Exactly the same as the other jar but a more attractive bathroom version!! Not worth the money personally. I use this little jar as a lip balm.

Merumaya Cleansing Balm – 15.50. http://www.merumaya.com/product/melting-cleansing-balm. This was the cheapest cleansing balm I could find that wasn’t coconut oil. It is amazing for the price (feels like a 30-40pounds product). The whole brand are excellent really.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil 10 pounds – This stuff is an absolute BARGIN! Makes skin SO soft and removes makeup perfectly. Love it! http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/whats-hot/beauty-gems/camomile-silky-cleansing-oil.aspx tmcampid=38&tmad=c&tmplaceref=c%7C&tmclickref=&utm_source=google_PLA&utm_medium=sem&utm_campaign=What%27s%20Hot&utm_term=&utm_content=What%27s%20Hot&kpid=97950&gclid=CLyQ-tiz4MQCFcPKtAodmDoAtA
